Social Media: Just Another Way of Doing Business
Question: Can social media help you become a leader and advance in your career and profession? Answer: Can building more relationships, interacting with thought leaders and leveraging technology to manage more relationships help your career? The point is this: Social networking is not about technology. It's really about RELATIONSHIPS, networking and conducting business in new, different ways. This fun, interactive session will give you a strategic overview of how social media works and the value it can bring to you and your business.

"FBARs AND THE NEW IRS 'VOLUNTARY' DISCLOSURE INITIATIVE ," FOLLOWED BY A ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION
On March 23, 2009, the IRS announced an amended "Voluntary Disclosure Program" for US persons required to file reports of foreign bank accounts ("FBARs"), but who failed to do so (or filed incorrect reports) during 2003-2008. In tandem with the FBAR requirement, the IRS is requiring original or amended returns from these persons. The program closes September 23, 2009, and thousands of persons have already come forward. Filers who qualify will face a stiff series of civil penalties; those who don't, or who fail to "volunteer," risk even more harsh civil and criminal penalties. Find out if your client can use the one week left between September 15 and 23 to qualify.
