President's Letter
Greetings,
I am pleased to announce that the nominating committee presented the slate of Board members for 2009-2010, and the members voted to accept the candidates, at our March 17, 2009, breakfast meeting. Board members for the coming year are as follows:

Please note that our final meeting for the year, on May 26, 2009, will be at the Fairview Park Marriott, the regular location of our chapter meetings a few years back. And, even though the chapter officially breaks for the summer, please also note that our fourteenth annual celebration of golf is coming up June 1, 2009. I hope that you will join us, and bring family and friends to what I am sure will be another excellent event. On behalf of the chapter and the board, I extend many thanks to Ray Raines who has worked tirelessly these last few years to make this a "signature" event for our chapter!
I am also grateful to Melisa Galasso for her tremendous contributions to the chapter; under her leadership as new professionals chair, membership chair, and board member, the chapter hosted numerous events such as field days, wine tastings, ballroom dancing socials, and of course, the last two Casino Night holiday parties; and to Fuhu Xia for revamping our chapter's website and making it possible for us to accept membership payment and event registration electronically.
Over the summer, we will also host a leadership retreat for our Board members, Committee chairs and co-chairs, and any other member who is interested in serving in a leadership capacity in the coming year. Please look for announcements regarding this program, and join us. We'd love to see you.
We are also planning social events for the chapter over the summer break, such as a wine tasting event as we did last year, and a classic car show, dates are TBD, and of course, are dependent on a show of interest from our members. Please contact me if you would like to help on these social events. We cannot make them happen without you.
Finally, our continuing thanks go to our chapter sponsors as they are integral part of our ability to better serve our members and fund the George Mason scholarships and the professor chair.
